“Satu Malaysia” and the 53rd National Day Celebration

Kuala Lumpur - Limkokwing University of Creative Technology’s choir sang “Satu Malaysia” for Malaysia’s 53rd Independence Day at the Putra Stadium indoor arena in Bukit Jalil on August 31st.

“Satu Malaysia” is produced by the Limkokwing University’s Sound and Music Academy and sung by the university’s students and staff members during the event.

The choir also presented another song which is also originally produced by them, “Malaysia Inovatif” during the celebration.

The celebration started at 8am in which the arrival of Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Nur Zahirah, was greeted with thunderous applause from the stands with nearly 10,000 people in attendance present.

This is the first time where the function is to be held indoors and was themed “1 Malaysia Transforming the Nation”, and also was accompanied with colorful performances by different clubs and societies from around the nation.

There were also demonstrations by the armed forces, including members of the anti-terrorism unit and commandos who performed a rescue operation to free hostages.

The choir also performed for the closing of the celebration and sung “Satu Malaysia”, again where the audience in cheer also joined in the festivities.
